Development regions of nepal.

Nepal is a under developed country.Division of the country into development regions is not complete task of development.the development works,should be carried out to the aims of creating development regions and need of development regions.There are five development regions in nepal which are as follows:

1.Eastern development regions:About 21% of this development region is utilized for agriculture.More than 80% people of this development region are engaged in agriculture.The farmers have been provided training,fertilizer,insecticides and pesticides to increase the production of crop.the cash crop like tea,jute,sugarcane etc are given emphasis.

2.Central development region:Many development activities have been done in this region.22% land of this region is utilized for farming.High number of people are engaged in agriculture.Many people are encouraged for cash crops.Agricultural farms have been established in parwanipur and janakpur.Industry and commerce is growing in janakpur,hetauda,birgunj,kathmandhu,banepa,trisule etc.Development works is growing rapidly in this region

3.Mid western development region:Only 8% land of this region is utilized for cultivation.Agricultural activites done in this region are very traditional.This region has become the most backwardly developed region of nepal.However cash crops are cultivated hereLocal people with the help of ngos n ingos are improving the quality of crops n their lifestyles.This development region has vast potential for developing tourism.

4.Western development region:Wheat,maize,barley,potato etc are produced in substainal amount in many parts of this region.Sugarcane and mustard are main casg crop here.Annapurna regions have been developed as tourist centres.It is the most famous trekking route.The industrially famous towns of this region are bhairahawa,pokhara,butwal and tansen.This region is developing gradually.

5.Far western development region:Besides food crop like wheat and maize,the terai region people of this region also cultivate tubacco,sugarane and mustard.Preapring ghee is the main work of people living in hilly region.A network of roads have been earthened from dhangadi to baitadi,darchula and bajhang.In this region there were 844 primary schools,259 lower secondary school and 149 secondary schools in 2000 ad.AN 8 year project has been launched in the far western development region with the cooperation of the government of denmark.This region is also developing gradually..
